Danforth II Flowered Handle Porringer 5”

This porringer has a 5” bowl. It is unmarked but attributed without reservation to Thomas Danforth II of Middletown, CT and is 18th century. There are two little stress cracks on the bowl near the handle and the rest is in fine condition. This is the only porringer with a flowered handle that has 2 round circles near the aperture. This mold was passed down and a defect in the mold was corrected. Nice planishing on back of handle. W 549.
