Sellew 6¼” Chalices

$550.00

Sellew and Company were successful pewters in Cincinnati, OH from 1830-1860. They made a variety of forms including these 6¼” h chalices. As with many of the American chalices they were not marked. Reference #155 in An American Pewter Collection. Attribution is frequently made by the frequency with which these are found accompanied by marked flagons. The Sellews were also the most successful pewterers west of the Hudson River. The condition of this pair is very good.
